Yesterday I cried.
I missed the gym so dang much.
It’s always been my stress burner and honestly my therapy.
I went from sad to mad to grateful to resigned.
And I think that’s okay right now.
Cause we all are still trying to figure this out this quarantine. There is no road map or best practices because its brand new. Brand spanking new. Unprecedented.
So if you want to cry…..
If you want to be grateful…
If you want to admit you truly don’t like working from home….
If you want to admit there are small things you like….
If you feel anxious…..
If you really really really miss dropping your kids off at school.
If you are finding new ways to move your body…..
If you haven’t put on real pants in days….
If you don’t know what to say or to post….
If you miss your normal routine….
If you love the extra slow time with your family….
If you wonder why you never noticed how loudly your partner chewed before this….
If you are hoping no one hears your kid yelling in the background on your conference call….
If you are lonely…..
If you absolutely adore not having to leave your house….
If you don’t want to be productive and organize your entire house…..
If you are doing good just to keep your head above water….
If you are essential personnel and you are going to the front lines for us every day…..
If you are loving all the time for the “small” things now….
If you hate cooking at home and miss that little sandwich shop by your house…..
If you miss your friends….
If you are loving this uninterrupted time with your spouse……
If you are grieving the things we had to miss out on like graduations, proms, concerts, and ballet recitals……
All of that is ok. We all are trying to navigate these uncharted lands. Do what works for you….
I’ll be virtually cheering you on from over here.
