10 Questions to Plan Your New Era

You’re Not Starting Over—You’re Rising Higher

There comes a moment in all of our lives when we feel the call to shift. Whether it’s after a major life change, a season of burnout, or a quiet whisper in your soul, you just know: it’s time to step into a new era.

This isn’t about becoming someone else—it’s about remembering who you are and realigning your life with that truth.

And it starts with the right questions.

You’re Not Starting Over—You’re Rising Higher

Why Questions Matter More Than Resolutions

Goals and resolutions are helpful—but questions unlock something deeper. They invite self-inquiry, awaken intuition, and give space for your most authentic and aligned answers to rise to the surface.

So grab your journal, light a candle, and let these 10 questions guide you into the next, most authentic version of yourself.

1. What is no longer aligned with who I am becoming?

Release what drains you. Let go of habits, relationships, and mindsets that no longer support your evolution.

2. How do I want to feel every day?

Instead of chasing outcomes, anchor yourself in feelings—peaceful, radiant, creative, grounded, inspired, calm, energized. Let that guide your decisions.

3. What version of me am I ready to step into?

Visualize her. How does she speak? Dress? Spend her time? Show up? Be really specific.  Then ask: what does she need from me today?

4. Where have I been playing small?

Name the areas where fear has keeping you small. Then commit to taking up more space.

5. What would life look like if I trusted myself fully?

So many answers live on the other side of self-trust. What would shift if you believed your desires were valid?  That your talents were true?  That your dreams were possible?

6. What rituals support my highest self?

Think beyond routines. You know your girl loves a ritual.  What daily practices ground and expand you—movement, meditation, creativity, nourishing food?

7. Who do I feel safe, seen, and inspired around?

Your next era will require a new level of support. Who’s in your circle that fuels your growth?

8. What boundaries will protect my peace in this season?

Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re bridges to self-respect and energy conservation.

9. What have I been too afraid to start (but can’t stop thinking about)?

Often, your purpose whispers through your fears. Lean in gently.

10. What does success look like on my terms now?

Not what society says. Not what your past self believed. Not what your mama or your sister or your neighbor or your best friend thinks.  Define it based on your current truth.

And then, give yourself permission to begin again

This new era doesn’t require perfection—it just asks for presence.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to ask the right questions, then trust what surfaces. Your inner wisdom and intuition already knows the way.

Final Thoughts: You Are the Author of Your Next Chapter

The beauty of life is that you get to begin again—over and over. With each question you ask, you’re writing a more aligned and authentic story.

So plan your new era not with pressure, but with curiosity and compassion.
This is your time to rise. To soften. To expand. To reclaim.

And it all starts with a question.

Sending you love and light,

Jaime

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
