When You Grow Up….

What do you want to be when you grow up?
The older I get, the more I realize the answer shouldn’t be one word.
What do I want to be when I grow up?
Someone that’s brave. Someone who’s confident in her body and has a healthy lifestyle. Someone who doesn’t back down from a challenge. Someone who sees the good in people and who’s first question is “How can I help?”
I want to be someone that inspires. Someone that breaks down barriers and stands up for the little guy. Someone with goals, dreams, and aspirations. I want to be someone that laughs alot, reads alot, and loves a lot. I want to be someone who brings joy. I want to be someone who spends time building people up instead of tearing them down. I want to be someone who travels the world but knows the importance of home. I want to be someone who isn’t afraid to try and to fail. I want to motivate. I want to be someone who takes time for the small things because she knows how important they really are. I want to be someone who is strong. Physically and emotionally. I want to be someone who is kind. I want to be someone who my daughter can look up to……

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
