Motherhood

You know what’s hard? Motherhood.
You know brings me more joy than anything else? Motherhood.
You know what makes me feel like I can’t do a damn thing right? Motherhood.
You know what makes me feel like Wonder Woman? Motherhood.
You know what makes me crazy and keeps me up at night? Motherhood.
You know what makes me feel like I am the most patient person in the galaxy? Motherhood.
You know what makes me want to run away from home? Motherhood.
You know what makes me want to race home from work each day so I can hear all about her day? Motherhood.
You know what makes me feel like I’m making mistakes every day? Motherhood.
You know what makes me feel like I redeem myself every day? Motherhood.

You know what makes me feel like I know everything about love?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me feel like I have absolutely no idea how big love is?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me feel like I have fears I didn’t know existed?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me feel like I have strengths I didn’t even know existed?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me scared beyond belief?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me so frustrated I cry?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me beam with pride?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me frantic with worry?  Motherhood.

You know what makes me laugh until I cry?  Motherhood.

You know what my biggest challenge has been? Motherhood.
You know what my greatest accomplishment has been?

Yep, motherhood.
To all my mamas in this crazy journey….we are doing the best we can. With lots of love.
And lots of coffee………

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.

Jaime
