Happy Birthday Callie Bear!

My sweet girl…..

I can not believe that you are 11 today!!  It literally seems like just yesterday that I was pregnant with you and now here we are!

Callie Bear–you are an amazing miracle of a child.  One of those people who’s light shines from their body.  Someone that everyone wants to be around, if only just to soak up your warmth–and I bask in it daily! You have a soul full of sunshine sweet girl and if someone hasn’t seen it then they just haven’t looked into your eyes yet.

The magic that is inside of you is so very special.  Not many people have that baby girl….but you DO.  You have that spark–the one that means you are going to do big, bold, audacious, incredible things with your life.  You love big, you feel big, you care big, and you live big and Mama is so incredibly inspired by you.

You are a wild flower through and through.  Your messy hair is a visible attribute to that stubborn wild streak.  When you bloom, it’s as if you smile because you already know….wild is your favorite color.  You are completely yourself.  You are an artist.  You are a reader.  You are a lover.  You are a dancer.  You are little notes by the Keurig.  You are a runner.  You are phenomenal horse woman.  You are artwork on our fridge.  You are a comedian.  You are a debater.  You are the kindest soul.  You are hot chocolate with exactly 9 marshmallows.  You are a teacher.  You are a forgiver.  You are wildflowers in the vase by the sink.  You are a helper.  You are a fighter.  You are a warrior.  You are a well loved unicorn stuffed animal in the backseat of my car.  You are the strongest, bravest, most incredible person I’ve ever met.

So happy birthday my love.  I am so proud to be your Mama and I can’t wait to celebrate with you today!

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
