Life Updates

October 16, 2021 in Lifestyle - No Comments

It has been a CRAZY few months!!!!  I had to take a break from writing blog posts because it’s just been so busy but I’m back on track now!

Wanted to catch you up on everything that’s happened in the last few weeks so here goes!

Callie started back to school so there’s lots of homework, pep rallies, football games, and birthday parties on the agenda now.   She’s settled in very nicely to her new school after being a virtual learner last year.

Someone got a big girl hair cut and now she looks 18….

Callie has also started playing golf!!!  My dad is a huge golfer so he has been teaching her–she has her first set of clubs so next step is the PGA….

She also has been spending plenty of time at her happy place….

We explored the local pumpkin patch last weekend…..

And we checked out a local mural wall!

We missed you all and are happy to be “back”–promise to keep posting on a regular schedule and thank you for all your sweet notes!

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.

Jaime
