I love reading about people’s favorite things, new favorite items they’ve discovered, or new tips and tricks they’ve implemented to improve their lives. I’ve learned about some cool products and found new favorite things of mine thanks to those lists! If you’ve been following me for a bit, you also know I’m a big fan of people helping others and I think sharing things that you’ve found to make your heart happy or have made your life easier, is one simple way to do that!
So, here are a few things I’m particularly loving lately!

Cowboy Boots
Maybe it’s because I live in Texas? Maybe it’s because they are so comfortable? Maybe it’s because they go with almost anything?? I love cowboy boots–my recent ones from Junk Gypsy are SO fun–they’re white with an ombre fringe on them and I can’t wait to wear them.

Cowboy Hats
See above. I’ve always loved hats but recently visited Gruene Hat Company in Gruene, Texas (home to the oldest dance hall in Texas!) where you can custom make your own cowboy hats. I fell in love–I custom made two hats adorned with ribbons and feathers and finished them off with a branding with my initials!

Highland Cows
How can you not love that face??? I am obsessed with these gentle furry giants and have it on my vision board to have a few on our ranch one day.

Randomly sending my friends “Thought of You” Texts
I’ve started sending my friends random “I thought of you” or “I saw this and thought of you” texts. There’s nothing more special than seeing something that reminds you of someone and then SENDING it to that person. They instantly feel special because you’ve remembered something that they care about, something that is important to them, or something that reminds you of them and then took the time out of your day to send them a message. It takes me 3 minutes out of my day but I know it makes an impact on them. I’m constantly challenging myself to find simple ways to bring a little bit of love and light into the world (especially lately) and this is a perfect way to do that.

My Easi Pro Hair Extensions
My hair really never recovered from the cancer treatments I had to do years ago and I finally took the plunge last year and got hand-tied extensions. I had always worried that they would be too much work or that it would damage my already baby-fine hair and I’m so impressed with them. They haven’t damaged my hair (in fact my hair is the healthiest it’s probably been) and excluding wash day, I’m honestly spending less time on my hair now! The confidence they give me is the cherry on top though–I look in a mirror and see the version of myself that I’d always imagined in my mind. That best version of me? I now see her in the mirror….giving me a sassy wink and a hair toss.

Country Music
Again, is it living in Texas? Maybe but this girl LOVES some country music. On my playlist right now? All things Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt, Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, Matt Stell, Bailey Zimmerman, and Corey Kent.

Barndominiums
A barndominium originally referred to a barn that had been converted into a living space. Today, a barndominium is any standalone, metal, barn-shaped structure that has been turned into a home (whether or not it started as a barn!). I love the whole vibe–the open spaces, the metal roof, the dark colors and think it might be at the top of our design wishlist for our future home.

Coffee Ice Cubes
I love an iced coffee all year round but tend to not like it when it gets all watered down. Here’s a fantastic tip I heard–make your ice cubes out of coffee! When you pour the hot coffee over regular ice cubes, it dilutes the taste and waters it down as they melt. With coffee ice cubes, you get full coffee flavor down to the last drop.
Golden Hour Walks
In photography, the golden hour is the period of daytime shortly after sunrise or before sunset, during which daylight is redder and softer than when the sun is higher in the sky. Sometimes called the “magic hour,” it’s quickly become my favorite time to take Jack for a walk. My camera roll is filled with stunning pics from our walks now and the little bit of mellowing it does for my circadian rhythm is a nice bonus.

Nighttime Baths
Full transparency, I never used to be a fan of baths. I didn’t get them and honestly didn’t feel relaxed while doing them. I’ve recently started dabbling in an Epsom salt bath combined with some natural bath salts and I have to say……I’m digging it. I’ve given our bath a bit of a makeover–adding some plants, candles, and regularly buy fresh eucalyptus to give it even more of a spa vibe.
