The Best Gifts to Give Yourself This Valentine’s Day

February 6, 2024 in Lifestyle - No Comments

You probably have a list of 10+ people to buy for this Valentine’s season, but you can’t forget about the most important person: you! Yes, it’s important to make sure the people you love most feel cared for around the holiday of love, but leaving yourself out of the picture is like forgetting a present for your bestie. If you’re anything like me, you’re quick to stock up on presents for your spouse, your boyfriend, your partner, your best friends, your kiddos, maybe even your coworkers. But you rarely put in the effort to buy yourself something you truly desire.

Think about it: when was the last time you treated yourself to a gift around the Valentine’s Day? The most important relationship you have in your life is the one with YOURSELF!  Reward yourself for all your recent hard work or for being consistent with your New Year’s Goals. Whether it’s a much-needed self-care trip to the spa, a new pair of sneakers you’ve had in your cart for a year, or a shopping spree all to yourself, gifting yourself this season of amour can come in the form of whatever makes you feel happy, joyful, and loved this time of year.  Remember–gifts for yourself are just as important as gifts for your loved ones.

Read on for the best gifts for yourself this Valentine’s season, because you should always be your own Valentine!

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
