November Reset

November 1, 2024 in Health & Wellness, Lifestyle - No Comments

A refresh on life. A new mindset.  That’s what I’m bringing into the month of November.  I think a lot of times we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season–a season where it’s all too easy to indulge a little bit more than normal, hit snooze a little bit more than normal, and fall out of the healthy habits we’ve cultivated through the year and we find ourselves careening into the new year out of control.

A reset is your personal empowerment “button” — accessible anytime you want change. You may not have reset today but you can reset tomorrow! And that’s the whole point.

Resetting isn’t about beating yourself up, feeling bad or staying stuck. A reset is about embracing a positive attitude towards change and finding opportunities for personal growth even in the hardest of times.

A reset allows us the opportunity to make improvements in our daily life in any shape or form we choose, at any pace we desire. When the world around us can feel overwhelmingly complicated, daunting or uncertain, choosing to reset your outlook or your situation delivers a refreshing sense of personal freedom.

Here are a few simple ways to do a reset in November:

  • Wash the sheets and switch to your winter bedding.
  • Clean out your fridge and organize things in easy-to-see glass containers.
  • Organize your office.
  • Clean your makeup brushes.
  • Do a face mask.
  • Organize your dresser.
  • Store your summer clothes and accessories (think beach bags, pool toys, etc).
  • Cultivate a list of healthy fall recipes.  We love Half Baked Harvest!
  • Write down your goals for the next two months–bonus points if you create a Pinterest board with them that you can refer to often!
  • Create your to do list for the next two months and plot items on the calendar.  Put gold stars next to your top priorities.

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.

Jaime
