10 Journal Prompts to Reflect on Your Year (and Dream for the Next)

December 29, 2025 in Womanhood & Feminine Energy - No Comments

The end of the year has a way of stirring things up. You’re reflecting on the past twelve months while peeking ahead at the blank pages of the next. But before you rush into resolutions, here’s a better idea: pause, grab a pen, and get honest with yourself.

Journaling is like free therapy. And you know your girl loves nothing better than a journal prompt.  It helps me release the clutter, see patterns, and hear my inner voice (the one that gets drowned out by everyone else’s opinions).

Ready to reflect and dream? These 10 journal prompts will get you started:

The Prompts

  1. What am I most proud of from this past year?

  2. Where did I surprise myself? (Maybe in resilience, growth, or even humor.)

  3. What drained my energy the most—and how can I release it?

  4. Who/what brought me the most joy?

  5. What did this year teach me about boundaries?

  6. What am I grieving or letting go of?

  7. Where did I practice courage, even in small ways?

  8. What do I want to carry into next year? (Habits, mindsets, relationships.)

  9. What’s one thing I want to do differently moving forward?

  10. If next year had a theme song, what would it be—and why?

Final Thoughts

Reflection doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be intentional. These prompts will help you close out the year with gratitude, clarity, and a little spark of inspiration for what’s next.

Because the truth is: the new year isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming more authentically you.

Sending you love and light,

Jaime

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
