This season……..
We are learning to breathe. I feel like we’ve been holding our breath for the last 8 years with Callie.
Waiting to see if she needed another heart surgery. Waiting to see if the surgery on her knee would take. Waiting to make sure that her heart took to the donor valve. All the while, holding our breath….waiting for the other shoe to drop.
This season……..
We are hitting our stride. She is growing like a weed. We never experienced normal “growth spurts” like other kids did. She was always very slow to grow due to her heart condition and over the last year she has grown almost 3 inches and put on a solid ten pounds!
This season…….
We are being brave. Starting the blog. Sharing our story. Saying “yes” to scary things. Being fearless and chasing after what sets our hearts on fire. No more holding back and I can honestly say….we are just getting started.
This season…….
We are practicing being in LOVE with life. For too long, we were always waiting for the other shoe to drop. It was honestly a very fearful and anxious place to be in. But now, we are letting the sun shine on our life. We are reveling in the joy. Blooming where we are planted. Finding things each day to be so incredibly grateful for…..and grounding ourselves in them. We are loving this chapter of life and everything it has brought us.
This season…….
We are more selective with our tribe and the vibe around us. Call it what you will…
Your tribe.
Your clan.
Your network.
Your family.
Ours is made up of the hustlers. The go getters. The ones with positive energy. The ones that are there for us and support us no matter what. The ones that chase the crazy dreams and that stand up for others. The ones that laugh until their stomach hurts and wipe away our tears when we get upset. The ones that empower others and are true to themselves.
That tribe.
This season……will be a game changer.
