In it, for the long run….

We are so excited to share that Callie was gifted a running blade this weekend!

Thanks to a very generous donation from Endolite and the amazing partnership with our guardian angels, Justin and the Hanger Clinic, we were able to surprise our girl with her very own running blade.

To say that our hearts are full this weekend would be an understatement.  We have been dreaming of this for years.  We never gave up on the thought that one day she would have her very own blade and be able to experience running just like every other child.

This was the best day of her life.  We could not be more thankful for this amazing gift and will never be able to repay this generous act of kindness.  Our girl now will be able to put words into action–we’ve always known that when you believe in your abilities, you can run any distance….including the distance that you once thought was impossible.

The miles we run from now on will have incredible meaning….we will remember those that can’t run and what they would give to have this gift.  And then we will run harder for them…..because we know they would do it for us.  Each mile will have a memory, one of never giving up on a goal. Memories of set backs and comebacks.  Memories of all of the challenges and mountains we have overcome.  When our legs can’t run anymore….then, we will run with our hearts.

See you on the trails.

I shared the video of us surprising her on our Instagram account!  It’s under our stories!

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
