Would You “Follow” You?

May 8, 2019 in Lifestyle - No Comments

“Beauty isn’t about having a pretty face.
Its about having a pretty mind.
A pretty heart.
A pretty soul.”
The more I think about this quote, the more we are questioning who we follow on social media.
Don’t get me wrong…I love some pretty pictures and cute fashion posts. And don’t get me started on cute animal posts because we are definitely fans of those.

But what about your heart?
Do you open the door for others?
What energy are you putting out into the world?
Do you stand up for the little guy?
Do you motivate and support others?

What would others say about you?
That you are strong? Brave?
Are you beautiful because your eyes sparkle when you talk about something you love?
Are you beautiful for your ability to raise others up?
Are you beautiful because you inspire others never to give up?
To dream crazy big dreams?
Are you your own kind of beautiful?

What kind of energy are you putting out into the world?
Do you build people up?
Do you motivate others?
Help them? Is your hand always out to help someone up?
Are you actively looking for ways to show others you appreciate them?
Are you the type of person that others look to as a leader?
Do you respond with kindness? Especially when it’s not easy?
Do you bring a smile to people’s faces when they talk about you?
Are you authentic? Do you let others see your struggle? Not so they can see you fall….but so they can see you rise?

Would you click “follow” on your own page? On yourself?

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.
