The Last Time…..

Everyone really liked the interview we did with Callie a few posts back (Check out A Very Special Interview to see what I mean!) so we thought we would do a modified version of that.

I sat down with Callie and asked about the “last time” she did or experienced something…..so here we go!

Last time you laughed:

When Daddy and Mama busted in a mini dance party at dinner to Eric Church’s Desperate Man.

Last time you sang:

I sing every day.  I love music!

Last movie you watched:

Milo and Otis….one of my favorite movies!

Last thing that you ate:

Ritz Crackers and beef jerky for after school snack!

Last time you cried:

When my mama gave a speech at work and I got to see it.  I got to talk too and we helped her team!

Last book you read:

I’m reading TWO books right now!  One about dragons called Eragon and the other one is called Scary Stories to tell in the Dark!  It’s spooky but not too spooky!  My school’s goal is to read 25 books this year but I’m going to read 40!

Last time you set a goal:

I set the 40 book goal and to run a 5k with my new blade!

Last time you were proud of yourself:

Yesterday!  I did a really good workout and ran really fast.  I was sweating a lot so I know I did a really good job.

Last time you danced:

I dance ALL THE TIME.

Last time you thanked someone:

This morning I thanked my friend for lending me a pencil.  It was really nice of them since mine broke.

Last time you hugged someone:

YOU!!!!  *Gives me a bear hug*

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

For the women blooming in unexpected places…..

Hi Y'all

Hi, I’m Jaime — writer, mother, storyteller, and the heart behind The Wildflower Edit. For nearly a decade, I wrote online as The Princess and the Prosthetic, sharing my daughter’s journey with disability and the lessons our family learned along the way. It was a beautiful season — full of advocacy, connection, and community — but as my daughter grew older, I felt a shift. She deserved more autonomy. More privacy. More room to decide how she shows up in the world. And I realized something else: My own story was expanding too. Motherhood was still here. Disability was still here. But so were grief, healing, womanhood, nervous system care, feminine energy, homemaking, identity, softness… the fuller, deeper pieces of life that were ready to be spoken aloud. Whether you come for the cozy routines, the motherhood reflections, the disability advocacy, or the soft life inspiration — thank you for choosing to share this space with me. Pour a warm drink. Settle in. Let’s grow a life that feels like you again.

Jaime
